DISCONTINUED – REPLACED BY NEW D-LINE SERIES
High power and torque, low revolutions, ruggedness, reliability, high build quality and durability are the primary characteristics of the VETUS D-line marine diesel engines.
- VETUS D-line engines from 114 hp (84 kW) are eminently suitable to drive power hydraulics systems on board. They are supplied as standard with a Power Take Off (PTO), to which a suitable flange and hydraulic motor (available as option) can be easily connected. The resultant hydraulic power can be used to drive a bow and stern thruster, anchor windlass, mast lowering device, power steering, stabilizers and many other applications.
- From 114 hp to 210 hp the VETUS D-line engines are available in two versions: mechanically or electronically regulated. The electronic version offers higher fuel efficiency.
- A larger alternator and/or a second alternator can be supplied as an option. From 114 hp (84 kW), these can be supplied as 12 or 24 Volt and in single or double pole version.
- All VETUS D-line engines are supplied with a front drive belt cover for personal protection.
Electronic Motor Regulation
This engine is also available with Electronic Motor Regulation (DET66—A). The EMR, Electronic Motor Regulation, controls and monitors all the following engine functions: low oil and intake air pressures, high cooling water and intake air temperatures, low and high engine speeds as well as providing fast, accurate power regulation. Via the CAN bus connection the following information can be read electronically: Power, revolutions, fuel consumption, water and oil temperatures, oil and charge air pressures. By combining an EMR controlled engine with an electrically operated gearbox, all technical push/pull cables can be eliminated and the engine can be controlled using a VETUS EC4 or RECO electronic control. When power hydraulics are applied, fine adjustments to speed and power are easily applied through the EMR system.
